Case management involves spending time with individuals and families to assess social and economic needs and to help remove barriers that prevent economic self-sufficiency.
At ACCESS of WNY, you will meet with a case manager who will listen to you and understand to your needs. The case manager spends time with individuals and families to assess social and economic needs for housing, low-cost energy programs, WIC and healthcare coverage for which many may be eligible. A case manager may also make referrals to healthcare, mental health, health screenings and low-cost clinics. If you need assistance with completing government benefit forms and making phone calls, our friendly experts can make calls on your behalf.

Advocacy involves making sure that you know your rights and responsibilities.
Your case manager will explain your right to an interpreter; educate you about child welfare code; and help you become aware of domestic violence laws as well as school laws that may affect you and your family.
ACCESS of WNY has partnered with organizations in order to eliminate cultural and linguistic misunderstandings, court appearances, and to advocate for family reunification and culturally sensitive placement for children removed from their homes due to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
